Katie Price has returned to the music scene with the release of her latest single Best Of Me, but the track has sparked a divided reaction among fans.

The 47-year-old former glamour model, who teamed up with rapper Lady Ice for the new release on Friday, was quickly met with criticism online. 

According to Daily Mail, many listeners took to TikTok to complain that the song’s lyrics were difficult to understand, citing its heavy reliance on auto-tune.

“Haven’t worked out what she’s actually saying in this,” one user wrote, while another added, “You can’t really make her voice out. Anyone can make a song like this with all the special effects.” 

Others compared the track to an AI-generated song, with one commenter bluntly declaring, “Career ending move right there.”

Not all feedback was negative, however. Some fans praised the single as “catchy” and applauded Price for pursuing music again. 

“Good on her, she so deserves this moment,” one supporter wrote, while another added, “Chill guys! She knows she’s not a pop star, she’s just having fun.”

As per the outlet, Price teased her return to the studio earlier in September, sharing behind-the-scenes photos as she recorded. 

Moreover, this marked another attempt at a pop comeback following her previous dance tracks I Got U (2017), which topped the iTunes chart, and Hurricane (2019), which reached number six.

Additionally, the reality star has long harbored ambitions of a music career, even competing in 2005 to represent the UK at Eurovision, though she lost out to Javine Hylton.

As per the publication, the release of Best Of Me came amid a turbulent time for Price, who recently expressed fears about a possible recurrence of leiomyosarcoma, a rare cancer she battled while pregnant with her son Harvey in 2002. 

She also revealed that two of her kittens were rushed to the vet this week, just weeks after one of her pets sadly died.
