Tamannaah Bhatia on meeting Karisma Kapoor: Calls it a ‘Full Circle’ moment
Tamannaah Bhatia opened up about watching Karisma win Filmfare awards in salwar kameez during her school days, calling Lolo the “sweetest, warmest.”
Tamannaah Bhatia talked about her early impressions of the Filmfare award shows, stating that she love it when Indian actresses wore traditional Indian clothing like a salwar kameez to accept their honours.
During the Filmfare press conference in Mumbai she recalled her school and college days spent watching actress Karisma Kapoor win awards at the Filmfare Awards ceremony.
Speaking to the media, Tamannaah reminisced about the glam of previous Filmfare Award shows and remarked, “I remember seeing Karisma win awards. At that time, I think it was very different. Even the events felt like every artist went to salwaar kameez and collected their award. There was a kind of rawness to those particular award ceremonies."
Tamannaah described meeting Karisma in person after witnessing her win the Filmfare Awards on television as a "full circle" moment in her life.
“I remember seeing her. I have a very clear memory of that. When I saw her I felt that I also wanted to become like her. When I meet Lolo now, she is the warmest, sweetest," she said.
