Box office receipts for Kantara Chapter 1: The Kannada film maintained its momentum on Friday following a strong debut on Dusshera.

On Friday, a working day after the joyous release day, the movie saw the anticipated decline, but it still managed to draw sizable audiences all day long.

This Rishab Shetty film, which is a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara debuted at ₹61.85 crore net in India on Thursday.

The Kannada version contributed ₹19.60 crore, while the Hindi-dubbed version contributed ₹18.50 crore. The movie was a pan-India success on the first day of release thanks to the strong opening performances of the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam versions.

Sacnilk claims that the movie's domestic receipts increased by ₹45 crore on Friday, bringing its total revenue in India to ₹106.85 crore.

With excellent word-of-mouth advertising and accolades from a number of industry filmmakers, the movie has continued to gain traction.

Kantara Chapter 1 is now the highest-grossing Kannada movie of the year as a result. It has now overtaken Su From So's earnings, which last month brought in 92 crore net in India.

According to trade analysts, Kantara Chapter 1 has also performed well abroad, bringing in about $2 million from sources outside of India. On the first day, it made about ₹90 crore worldwide.
