Deepika Padukone talks about how motherhood changed her life
Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has shared intimate insights about her life as a new mother and how it has transformed her outlook in a recent interview.
The 38-year-old actress, who welcomed her daughter Dua with husband Ranveer Singh in September 2024, called motherhood the “best role” of her life.
During conversation with News18, the Padmaavat actress admitted that while she has always been patient, becoming a mother has pushed her limits and even made her more social.
She said, “Motherhood takes you out of your comfort zone. Interacting with other parents, going to playschool it pushes you, in a good way. I’ve always wanted to be a mother, and now I feel I’m playing my best role.”
She also opened up about her approach to mental health and wellness, she explained, “Sleep is extremely important. It may sound basic, but it works. Hydration, nutrition, and exercise these simple things matter.”
The actress emphasized that you don’t need extravagant treatments; focusing on basic care is enough to stay balanced.
As an athlete at heart, she revealed her routines for staying productive while caring for herself.
“I can stay away from my devices and still keep myself active and focused. I clean, I organize, it’s not about being OCD, it’s about keeping a clear mind,” she shared.
Despite taking a brief step back from a few projects, she continues to maintain a strong presence in Bollywood.
She was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again and is set to reunite with Shah Rukh Khan in King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
