Lady Gaga is officially stepping into The Devil Wears Prada universe, joining the highly anticipated sequel from the 20th Century Studio in a mysterious new role.
The 39-year-old singer will be joining the core cast members Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci returning.
Adapted from Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, the first film from the series tells the story of Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), an ambitious journalism grad who finds herself working for Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the notoriously demanding editor of a powerful fashion magazine.
Set to release on May 1, 2026, the upcoming sequel shifts focus to Meryl’s character as she navigates the world of the fading print industry.
Production officially began in June, with Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman returning from the original film.
Joining the star studded cast will be new cast members like Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet, Rachel Bloom and Patrick Brammall.
David Frankel will be once again directing the film, teaming up with the original scriptwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, while Wendy Finerman and Karen Rosenfelt cover the production department.
