Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, a Malayalam movie is doing everything it can to break consecutive box office records.

The Kalyani Priyadarshan starring movie has made over Rs 300 crore worldwide making it one of the year's biggest success stories. As the first Malayalam film to surpass the Rs 300 crore milestone Lokah has also created history.

Following its historic theatrical run, the film's creators have now officially announced the location of its digital premiere.

The makers have formally declared that Jio Hotstar will soon stream Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. With the post, "The beginning of a new universe," the platform teased fans. Chapter 1 of Lokah: Chandra is on the way.

Although the exact time has not yet been made public rumours indicate that the movie will start to stream on October 17, 2025. Fans have already expressed their excitement on social media and asked for Hindi and other language dubbings.

Under his Wayfarer Films banner, Dulquer Salmaan produced the film which was written and directed by Dominic Arun. Arun Kurian, Sandy Master, Chandu Salim Kumar and Naslen all play important parts in the film.

The main character of the tale is Kalyani Priyadarshan, a formidable superheroine. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra whose music is composed by Jakes Bejoy combines emotion and fantasy with powerful acting and eye catching imagery.

The film's original concept and cinematic scope won it praise from critics and viewers alike when it debuted in theatres on August 28, 2025.

However, the movie did well not only in Malayalam but also in Telugu and Tamil show the fill out popularity of Malayalam cinema and adding to its success is its pan India appeal.

The heroine of the tale Chandra is portrayed by Kalyani Priyadarshan as a superhero who unites myth and contemporary culture. The film's impressive visual effects, captivating plot and strong female lead have earned award for raising the bar for Malayalam cinema. It's one of the few successful attempts in the regional film industry to create a cohesive superhero universe.
