Pankaj Dheer, who was 68, is survived by his son Nikitin Dheer
Indian actor Pankaj Dheer breathed his last on Wednesday after suffering from a prolonged illness.
Famous for his eminent character in B.R. Chopra’s 1988 TV series Mahabharat, the 68-year-old was battling cancer for years.
He was one of the most well-known faces for Indian television audiences during the 80s and 90s.
The veteran actor gained widespread popularity for his role in Mahabharat and later featured in several TV projects as well as Bollywood movies.
He left an indelible mark with his performances in iconic shows like The Great Maratha, Yug, and Badho Bahu.
He also appeared in small but impactful roles in hit films like Sadak, Soldier, and Baadshah.
Pankaj Dheer is survived by his son Nikitin Dheer, who is also an actor and appeared in Chennai Express, Jodhaa Akbar, and Sooryavanshi, and is married to television actress Kratika Sengar.
Dheer was last seen on screen in the TV show Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi Se Pare (2024). Prior to this, he also worked in the 2019 web series Poison.
