It seems like Sonal Chauhan is gearing up to join the cast of the hit Prime Video series Mirzapur: The Film, the highly anticipated big screen adaptation.

According to a source close to the project, the 38-year-old Indian actress has joined the much awaited film, adding a vibrant presence and compelling arc to the storyline.

Speculation about her involvement in the project first began in August, when she was spotted at the film’s mahurat ceremony.

"Sonal Chauhan’s addition to Mirzapur adds a whole new layer to the plot, making it more exciting along with the substantial star cast," the source came forward and told Bollywood Hungama.

The insider also revealed to the outlet that the plot hasn’t been revealed yet, saying, "While the details are still kept under wraps, her addition promises to enhance the film’s storyline to newer levels.”

Announced in 2024, the thriller movie reunites audiences with familiar stars like Pankaj Tripathi, who will be reprising his iconic role as Kaleen Bhaiya, Ali Fazal returning as Guddu Pandit, Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi, and Shweta Tripathi as Golu Gupta.

Further adding to the excitement, the film also unites Stree star Abhishek Banerjee and Jitendra Kumar in a shared cinematic space.

The film directed by Gurmmeet Singh doesn’t have a release date set yet but is expected to release soon.
