Bobby Deol reflects on his career after 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood' success
Bobby Deol recently brought his acclaimed career journey into the spotlight following the success of The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
The 56-year-old actor, who rose to fame with his debut role in the 1995 film Barsaat, reflected on the overwhelming appreciation he has received.
In an exclusive conversation with Variety, Deol said, “It’s kind of overwhelming when you get so much love and keep getting more and more love from the audiences. Thirty years, what better way to celebrate with especially with your fans, and to have such a big, successful web series, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood.’”
Later in the interview, the Gupt: The Hidden Truth star discussed the impact of OTT platforms on his career.
Speaking to the outlet, he further added, “It all change with OTT platforms for me, because that gave me my first chance to do something different. Aashram was released one week later, and it just overshadowed Class of 83 completely. I still, till date, whenever I meet Prakash Ji [director Prakash Jha], I can’t come to terms with it, but it took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that what did he see in me to cast me as Baba Nirala.”
This comes on the heels of Deol earning widespread recognition for his performance in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
For the unversed, the Animal actor also has Alpha in the pipeline, co-starring Alia Bhatt.
