After many people questioned Fawad Khan's role as judge on Pakistan Idol, singer Faakhir Mehmood spoke up in his support, saying Fawad is the best choice for the show.

Appearing as a guest on FHM Podcast, the Maahi Ve singer shared his views on Pakistan’s music scene , the importance of consistency in an artist’s career, and the selection of judges for the popular singing reality show.

Faakhir said, “Becoming famous doesn’t happen with one song. It takes multiple hits to create recognition. One track might open doors, but the journey doesn’t stop there."

Addressing criticism of Fawad’s selection as a judge, the Dil Ruba singer defended him, saying people often forget his musical roots. Before becoming a film and TV superstar, Fawad was the lead vocalist of the rock band Entity Paradigm (EP) and even performed the Pakistan Super League (PSL) anthem.

He’s a multi-talented artist, actor, musician, and performer, and that makes him the perfect judge for Pakistan Idol, ” Faakhir added.
