The streaming giant Netflix has released the official trailer for the fifth and final season of the widely-watched series Stranger Things, offering viewers a first look at the high-stakes confrontation that lies ahead.

Set to debut in two parts — Volume 1 on November 26 and Volume 2 on December 25 with the finale on December 31 — the new season plunges into immediate action, foregoing the usual calm before the supernatural storm.

In the trailer, the Hawkins gang finds themselves on the run from the malevolent Vecna, who emerges once again to threaten their world.

The character Will Byers appears vulnerable, lifted into the air by Vecna in a chilling moment that underscores the danger the team faces.

At the same time, Eleven returns in warrior mode — sprinting into action, declaring that Mike “doesn’t get to write the ending,” and positioning herself as the squad’s key defender.

Behind the scenes, the show’s co-creator, Ross Duffer, confirms that this season opens in chaos, with the heroes already reeling from their losses in Season 4 and no respite before the final reckoning.

With military forces placing Hawkins under quarantine and Eleven forced into hiding, the stage is set for what the official synopsis calls “a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before.”
