Zubeen Garg’s last film ‘Roi Roi Binale’ smashes box office records
Trade experts predict the film could earn between ₹ 30 – 50 crore
The magic of renowned Indian singer Zubeen Garg continues to live on as his final film, Roi Roi Binale, sets a record at the Assam box office. Released across 91 screens in the Northeast and 92 cities nationwide, the film has drawn massive crowds, marking the most significant opportunity ever for Assamese cinema.
As Indian media industry sources in India describe the response, it is "emotional and historic." Sourav Dutta, General Manager (Northeast) of UFO Moviez, said,"You won't get a ticket for a week. This kind of response is unprecedented; it’s not precisely a movie, it’s an emotional outburst for Zubeen Garg.”
Zubeen, who tragically passed away in Singapore on September 19, 2025, plays a blind man in the film, a performance that fans say captures his depth and passion as an artist. The emotional connection to his legacy has turned every screening into a tribute.
The film is being shown in cities such as Lucknow, Pune, Dehradun, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Goa, and more, a first for any Assamese production.
Trade experts predict the film could earn between ₹ 30 – 50 crore if it continues to run strong for two months, surpassing previous Assamese hits such as Bhaimon Da, Raghupati, and Bidurbhai.
On Thursday, October 30, 2025, the All Assam Zubeen Garg Fan Club organised a special tribute event at Beltola College Ground, attended by his wife, Garima Saikia Garg, and several celebrities, celebrating the artist whose voice and spirit continue to unite the region.
