The spotlight that fans have been waiting for has finally arrived for Priyanka Chahar Choudhary.

The actor who gained a huge following following Bigg Boss 16 has now been formally instate as the new face of Naagin 7.

The big reveal took place on the grand stage of Bigg Boss the exact spot where her journey took off. Salman Khan hosted the event that sent her followers into a social media commotion.

Viewers have been thinking about who would succeed the current fancy series for months.

In the most recent episode of Bigg Boss 19, Priyanka was revealed as the new Naagin ending the suspense and carrying on the show's tradition of revealing big TV projects.

Speaking about getting the lead part she had always wanted, Choudhary stated, “I still remember the moment on Bigg Boss 16 when Ekta ma’am said she found her next Naagin, and to have her keep that promise and choose me for this legacy is truly an honour. I’ve always believed that some roles demand an actor to be more than a character, they challenge your strength, your range and your spirit.”

Since its launch in 2015 the Naagin franchise has influenced some of the biggest names in television such as Tejaswi Prakash, Adaa Khan and Mouni Roy.

As the show enters its seventh season and tenth year, Priyanka takes leadership, which is a key turning point for Colours and Balaji Telefilms.
