India’s women’s cricket team made history on November 02, 2025, by winning their first- ever ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 title at DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai and Bollywood actors couldn’t stop cheering.

From actress Priyanka Chopra to Kareena Kapoor, Anushka Sharma , and Hrithik Roshan , celebrities flooded social media with heartfelt wishes for the team that ended a nearly 50- year wait for the trophy.

Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram to share the team picture and wrote, “ Congratulations to our champions #TeamIndia ”

Anushka Sharma shared," You champions!! SUCH A momentous achievement.”. At the same time, Kareena Kapoor got emotional after the win, posting a video from the final moments on her Instagram story with the caption, "Still crying tears of joy."

Hrithik Roshan posted on X( formerly Twitter), "Jeet gaye! Historic! Congratulations Team India on our first Women’s Cricket World Cup win.”

Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “COME ONNN INDIAAAA! World champions. Well done, ladies. You make us all so proud.”

South Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli joined the celebration, praising the all-round brilliance of Deepti Sharma and Shafali Verma’s intensive fur, saying, “Every Indian heart is bursting with pride.”

Shraddha Kapoor compared the victory to India’s 1983 World Cup win, “Thank you maids for giving us our moment to remember.”

With Harmanpreet Kaur as captain, India defeated South Africa by 52 runs, bowled out for 246 in 45.3 overs, and won by 52 runs.

 It was a moment that united the nation —from the stadium stand to the living room— as India’s women's team won the World Cup for the first time.
