"Dozakh main sarrengay!” Zahid Ahmed lashes out at content creators
Zahid Ahmed expresses his dislike for social media culture and online trends
Pakistani television actor Zahid Ahmed has set the internet on fire with his fierce remarks about content creators and social media.
Known for his powerful performances in dramas like Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Gentleman, Zara Yaad Kar, Besharam, and Mein Na Janoo, the actor recently appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt's podcast.
Answering a question about social media, the 41-year-old said, “Although I use social media, I hate it, I think it’s the human being’s most evil, most destructive invention, and all the creators of all the platforms will burn in hell.”

“You asked me how I look at social media. I look at social media with contempt and hatred,” he added.
The Tum Mere Paas Raho star continued, “It is the complete antithesis of what human beings in general should be, and especially how muslims should be living their lives, this is completely opposite.”
He went on to say, “Islam says pass through life like a stranger, don't open much, humility, modesty, be less in yourself, think more about Allah, but this is completely opposite of it. More of me, self-projection, my life, my followers, my comparisons, showing themselves, children, wife, it's the devil at work.”
He decries, "Social media should be solely used for business purposes, but the social element of it thrives on comparing yourself with others, judging others, being jealous of others, and being happy at others’ misery. See what's happening with TikTokers in reality, two of them have been murdered in front of our eyes."
The Daldal actor slammed the online trends, saying, “The Whole world is normalised it and following madly, it's now useless even to talk about it, people will see this (interview) and will laugh at me, that he is criticising social media while staying on it, but no one dared to talk in front.
No one crosses the line of respect in person. The same people who hate or speak badly can’t dare to insult you face-to-face. But with social media, everyone now has a platform to talk nonsense and give their opinions freely."
Zahid Ahmed’s bold remarks have sparked a new debate on social media, while also making him the target of strong criticism from netizens and content creators.
