Actor Pankaj Tripathi’s mother Hemwanti Devi has died at the age of 89 in his hometown of Belsand, Bihar.

Her death was announced by the actor’s family in a heart-breaking statement which read, “She passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loved ones. Pankaj Tripathi was by her side during her final moments.”

While Devi left for her heavenly abode on Friday, October 31, she was laid to rest on Saturday, November 1, surrounded by family members, close relatives, and friends.

Keeping other details under wraps, the family mentioned that the latter was unwell for a specified period of time before her death.

In addition, they urged media and fans to respect their privacy during this time and allow the actor to grieve his late mother in peace.

On professional front, Tripathi recently graced the big screen with his presence in the fourth season of Criminal Justice and Metro…In Dino.

He is widely known for his spectacular performances in films, including Gangs of Wasseypur, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Stree, Stree 2, Mimi, OMG 2, and Murder Mubarak, among others.
