Paresh Rawal opens up about unexpected incident onstage
Paresh Rawal is recalling an unexpected incident from the past as he talks about losing his cool at the theatre.
In an exclusive interview on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Rawal opened up about attacking an audience member who was passing vulgar remarks while performing Pratishodh.
Recounting the instance from the past, the Hera Pheri star explained, “I couldn’t stop myself. I just went into the direction of where the sound was coming from. Somebody was making continuous, vulgar comments.
“There was a lot of furore over that incident. Obviously, the play got shut down that day. The theatre owners also said they wouldn’t let Paresh come back and perform there.”
In addition, Rawal said that he later regretted it after the theatre owners condemned his actions and banned him from performing again.
He added, “I repented it a lot. Later, I went to his place and then we became friends. Not good friends, but we became friends.”
The Bhagam Bhag actor also admitted to having a short-temper like his father, sharing that his anger is slightly ‘more violent’ as compared to others.
