Pakistani versatile actress Saba Qamar has slapped a journalist with a whopping Rs. 100 million defamation case over his alleged defamatory remarks.

This came after a journalist named Naeem Hanif claimed in a podcast that “Saba Qamar had lived in a house in Walton, Lahore, provided by a man she was involved with at the time.”

Dismissing these claims, the Hindi Medium actress shared a screenshot of that interview on her Instagram story and wrote, “Spreading false allegations about someone is a serious offence. I have never lived in Walton, and I’ve never done what you claimed.”

The Phamaal star also announced taking legal action against that person.

Later, she also put up the legal notice, dated November 3, which she sent to the journalist and the YouTube channel RNN TV through a legal firm, Saigal, Tarar & Leghari LLP.

The notice demands a public apology, removal of the content, and Rs. 100 million in damages, warning that legal proceedings will be initiated if unmet within seven days.

Alongside the photos of legal documents, the Kamli lead wrote, “Today, I’ve taken legal action against a journalist who spread false and baseless claims about me.”

The Fraud actress went on to urge, “I want to say this to everyone — to my fans, my colleagues, and my industry — stand up for yourself when someone tries to defame or disrespect you. No one has the right to make false accusations just for attention. Don’t stay silent. Call out such behavior and hold people accountable.”

“Let’s bring change – by speaking the truth and standing strong,” she added.
