Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana , known for both his acting and singing, opened up about how his busy film schedule has kept him from pursuing independent music projects.

In a conservation with ETimes, the Article 15 actor shared his focus remains on acting for now, with three major releases lined up for next year.

These include Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, alongside Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and Wamiqa Gabbi; a Karan Johar-Guneet Monga production starring Sara Ali Khan; and Sooraj Barjatya’s next featuring Sharvari.

Ayushmann said, “I’m caught up with a lot of films. I’m waiting for their release. And I’ll be singing versions or reprised versions of my songs in the films only."

The Vicky Donor actor further explained that his involvement in music often depends on whether a project allows room for it. “In Dream Girl 2 , there was no space, ” he noted. “So, I guess it depends on the film.”

Ayushmann, who began his journey with successes like Pani Da Rang, Saadi Galli Aaja, and Mitti Di Khushboo, admitted that while music remains close to his heart, acting naturally takes priority.“ My singing will always be slightly behind my actor self," Ayushmann said.

Despite taking a break from independent songs, fans continue to admire his ability to blend the worlds of film and music with authenticity and charm.
