'The Raja Saab' makers break silence on release delay buzz
Prabhas's ’The Raja Saab' team ends speculation, confirms Sankranthi 2026 release
The makers of The Raja Saab, amid growing chatter of a possible delay, have stepped forward to confirm the release date of the Prabhas-starrer film.
An announcement from People Media Factory aims to silence weeks of online speculation that the Sankranthi release might be pushed back. The film will arrive in cinemas on January 9, 2026, right on schedule.
The statement reads, “With these extensive preparations, The Raja Saab is poised to elevate the festive spirit of Sankranthi to the next level. Director Maruthi is crafting the film as one of Tollywood’s most prestigious projects, while producer T G Vishwa Prasad is mounting it on a grand scale with uncompromised production values.”
The production house reiterated that post-production is moving briskly and that rumours of a postponement are entirely baseless. Every department, they said, is working in sync to deliver the film in its “most spectacular form.”
Earlier reports had hinted at production delays, but the studio confirmed the first copy will be ready by December 25, 2025, with a grand pre-release event in the U.S. the same month.
The team also promised a massive theatrical rollout across languages, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, including IMAX and premium formats for a large-scale viewing experience.
Starring Prabhas in a fresh new role and directed by Maruthi, the film features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar, with music by Thaman S.
The makers hinted that promotional campaigns will kick off soon, heightening anticipation for this Sankranthi spectacle.
