Varun Dhawan's first appearance from his next movie Border 2, was revealed on Wednesday.

T-series Films posted the poster featuring Varun wearing a soldier's uniform on Instagram.

Varun appeared on the poster as a soldier engaged in combat, wearing an intense expression. He was spotted charging at his rivals with a gun in hand and an irate expression on his face.

It was shared with the caption, "Border uska farz hai aur Bharat uska pyaar (Border is his duty and India his love)! #Border2 releasing on 23rd January 2026."

Key Updates on Border 2

Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh and Sonam Bajwa will also appear in Border 2 which is directed by Anurag Singh. Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta are producing the movie. January 23, 2026 is the movie's scheduled release date.

The project is a remake to the 1997 movie Border in which Sunny costarred with Suniel Shetty, Puneet Issar, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry and Jackie Shroff.

Under the direction of J P Dutta the war epic became the highest grossing Hindi film in India in 1997 and a box office success. Border which documented a crucial period of the 1971 India Pakistan war brought in over ₹600 million at the global box office.
