Deepika Padukone is shutting down the noise surrounding her career plans to work alongside ex Ranbir Kapoor in the future.

The Om Shanti Om actress, who has appeared alongside the Rockstar alum in three different films, reacted to a fan’s request on social media.

Expressing her desire to see the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani duo on the big screen once again, the user shared in a recent reel, “This is a humble appeal to all directors and producers: can you please cast Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in a film together? Preferably a rom-com?

“You all keep saying that movies aren't making money and people aren't coming to theatres. Just cast them together and see what happens.”

She further alleged that if filmmakers consider casting the highly anticipated pair again, it could once more change the scope of cinema.

The young woman added, “Oh God, I can't stop smiling just thinking about it! Write a good script and cast both of them, because they're incredibly talented and look so beautiful together.”

While Deepika usually refrains from reacting to such targeted posts, she couldn’t help but like the reel. This created buzz on the platform, with many fans assuming that the actress is open to the idea.
