Katy Perry and Gayle King joined an all‑female crew aboard Blue Origin NS-31, the sub‑orbital spaceflight organized by private space company Blue Origin.

During the relatively brief flight — which passed the internationally recognized boundary of space, the Kármán line — Perry surprised fellow crew members by singing What a Wonderful World.

According to Daily Mail, King later described the impromptu performance as “the best part” of the journey.

Upon landing, both Perry and King emotionally embraced Earth again: Perry knelt down and kissed the ground while holding a daisy, a symbolic tribute to her daughter.
