Actor Celina Jaitly has made a rare and emotional appeal to the media as she fights a difficult legal battle against her husband, Austrian businessman Peter Haag.

On Friday, the former Miss India asked photographers and news outlets to stop using her children’s pictures in stories linked to her domestic-violence case.

In a short note shared on Instagram, the 44-year-old wrote, “I humbly request you to please refrain from using my children’s photographs in any news coverage regarding my legal cases… A mother with a broken heart.”

Her message comes at a time when she has publicly accused Haag of severe emotional, physical, verbal and financial abuse.

The No Entry actress recently moved a Mumbai court seeking divorce and compensation, saying she is facing the “strongest, most turbulent storm” of her life.

According to her petition, the Hello Darling actress is asking the court for Rs 10 lakh per month in maintenance, along with Rs 50 crore for loss of earnings.

This legal turmoil has surfaced alongside another crisis within her family.

A few weeks ago, Celina approached a Delhi court seeking help for her brother, Major (Retd) Vikrant Jaitly, claiming he was illegally detained in the UAE.

Celina married Haag in 2011, and the couple shares two sets of twins. Their youngest son, Shamsher, passed away shortly after birth in 2017.
