Siddhanth Chaturvedi reveals how a fan’s mistake turned into a funny encounter at the airport
Siddhanth Chaturvedi, who rose to fame as MC Sher in Gully Boy, recalled a funny moment when a fan mistook him for comedian Samay Raina.
During a recent interview, the 32-year-old actor described how the mix up went from feeling flattering to hilarious.
In an interview with PTI, the Kho Gaye Hum Kahan star stated, the incident happened while he was returning from Kerala.
According to him, the man asked for a selfie and casually asked, “Why did your show shut down?” The actor assumed the fan was talking about the show Inside Edge 3.
He noted, “I was confused because he kept saying the show was ‘hilarious.’ I was thinking, ‘Who finds Inside Edge funny?’ but I didn’t want to judge his taste."
However, the truth only hit him when the man went back to his friend. He playfully added, “He told his friend, ‘Bro, Samay Raina,’ and that’s when I realized he had the wrong person. It was wild.”
Despite the confusion, he mentioned that he’s genuinely happy for the youtuber, who faced a tough phase earlier this year.
For the unversed, the two have known each other since Siddhanth’s guest appearance as a panel member on Samay’s show, India’s Got Latent.
Professionally, Siddhanth was last seen in Dhadak 2, alongside Triptii Dimri. The romantic drama directed by Shazia Iqbal, grossed over ₹29 crore globally.
