As December begins the global streaming platform has yet to reveal when 2025’s Wrapped will drop though it teased that the wait won’t be long.

In a December 1 social media post Spotify simply said the feature is “Coming Soon.”

The company has also urged users to update their app noting on its website, “Get the updated app to experience 2025 Wrapped at its best,” accompanied by a QR code to download the latest version.

Over the years Spotify Wrapped has become a cultural phenomenon giving users a fun way to share their favourite songs and artists of the year. In a news release for 2024’s Wrapped Spotify described it as a “celebration of the fans, artists and creators who made this such an amazing year.”

When to expect Spotify Wrapped in 2025

Spotify has not yet revealed the release date for 2025 Wrapped though in a December 1 social media post the platform teased that it is Coming Soon.

Originally named "Spotify Year in Music," Spotify Wrapped was created by Spotify to allow users to view their listening habits through a compilation of the most frequently played songs, artists and genres during that year's playlist. Open the app and users will receive a pop up notification that lets them view their Wrapped compilation.

Wrapped promotes sharing the user's unique music history on different social media platforms while this feature has become an annual celebration for many users.

How long does Spotify track your music for Wrapped?

Since Spotify Wrapped is released before December 31 many users are curious about when the platform stops tracking their listening activity for the year.

"We start at the beginning of January with all of your listening that begins right then at the beginning of the year and it goes all the way through collecting data up until a few weeks before we launch the Wrapped product," Holder told the media outlet.
