Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have once again stunned fans with their recent appearance in London as they recreated the iconic Raj–Simran moment.

The duo, widely known for their indefinable chemistry in Aditya Chopra’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ), flew in for the ceremony honouring Indian cinema and the lead characters that have shaped pop culture in the best of ways.

To commemorate the success of the film, a life-size bronze statue of Raj and Simran was unveiled at London’s Leicester Square on Thursday, December 4.

SRK and Kajol turned heads with their unexpected appearance, as photos and videos from the event quickly went viral.

Both actors were seen posing with their bronze statues, marking three successful decades of the cult classic and its evergreen characters.

Kajol donned a striking ocean-blue saree, while Shah Rukh looked dapper in a classic black suit.

Reflecting on the film’s success, the actor expressed admiration for his fans, who have managed to keep its spark alive for decades.

He said in a statement, “It doesn’t feel like it’s been 30 years since Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge released. It feels like it happened yesterday because bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain… but it still feels unbelievable. I’m truly grateful for all the love… nobody could have foreseen the place the film made in the hearts of people around the world.”

For the unversed, the film first released in 1995, earning a whopping Rs 102.5 crore at the time. It went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
