Bollywood star Salman Khan has offered an unexpected glimpse into his personal life, saying that he has not stepped out for a casual dinner in the last 25 years, which shocked many.

Speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival, the 59-year-old actor described a life that has slowly shrunk to only a few places, home, film set, airport, and hotel.

In videos from the festival session now circulating online, Salman is seen speaking openly about losing several close friends over the years, while only “four or five” still remain from his early days.

“Most of my life, I’ve always been around family and friends… jismein se kaafi nikal liye,” he said, hinting at how time and success have changed his circle.

But the biggest surprise came when he revealed his strict routine and stated, “Twenty-five, twenty-six years ho gaye… main kahin bahar dinner pe nahi gaya.”

Asked if he regrets missing out on normal life, the Dabangg actor shook his head.

He confessed, “I don't mind it… Ya toh yeh chaiyeh ke aap ghumo phiro aur yeh sab na ho, that is something that I don’t want. Itni izzat dete hai aur pyaar dete hain.. Ussi ke liye mehnat karta hun… Beech beech mein thodha complacent ho jaata hun.. But usko bhi enjoy karta hun kyeh sochke ke aa gaye kya aane wala hai.”

(Either you want a life where you roam around freely and none of this happens, but that’s something I don’t want. People give me so much respect and love… that’s what I work hard for. Sometimes I do become a bit complacent… but I even enjoy that, thinking about what has come and what’s going to come next.)

This is the Kick lead’s second year at the Red Sea festival, where he also met Hollywood star Johnny Depp. He was seen attending a Golden Globes dinner with Idris Elba and Edgar Ramírez.

On the work front, Salman will next appear in Battle of Galwan, a film revisiting the 2020 India-China border clash.
