Rob Reiner’s family issues emotional statement after tragedy
Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner’s family, have broken their silence after the couple were found dead at their California residence.
On Sunday, December 14, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) was called to the home to provide medical assistance.
Although their deaths were not immediately confirmed, early reports stated only that a homicide scene had been discovered at the residence.
The Reiner family has now confirmed the tragic incident in an emotional statement issued to Variety.
"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time," the family wrote.
According to a recent report by PEOPLE, police have indicated that the couple’s 32-year-old son, Nick, may be connected to the case.
Multiple sources told the outlet that Nick allegedly killed Rob and Michele in their Los Angeles home, however, police have not officially confirmed these claims.
Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner had been married since 1989 and shared three children together.
