Sydney Sweeney teases possible ‘Mamma Mia 3’ role
Sydney Sweeney's latest film 'The Housemaid set' to release on December 19
Sydney Sweeney left fans excited with her views on joining the cast of Mamma Mia 3.
The Euphoria star reassured fans that she is open to working on the sets of Mamma Mia 3 putting an end to months of rumours about her joining or not.
The 28-year-old actress addressed her stance during a red carpet interview with Variety where she was asked directly about her thoughts on starring in the next sequel of the hit franchise.
Her response was immediate. “Of course,” Sydney said, adding that she’s a “huge fan” of the films.
Moreover, adding to her enthusiasm about joining the cast, the Christy star said she does not demand a major role.
In fact, she joked that she’d be happy to show up in any capacity. “I’ll be your assistant,” she laughed, saying she doesn’t even need to be acting to be part of it.
The comments come at a mixed moment for Sydney. The actress recently faced three back-to-back box office disappointments.
Her next film The Housemaid, which many say could make or break her career at this point, is set to release on December 19 leaving critics waiting for one final judgment.
Even after the backlash on her flops and personal views, Sydney managed to grab all eyes on her during the LA premiere appearance.
Sydney chose to wear a long white gown. Paired with her overall look, the actress looked like a reflection of the new generation Marilyn Monroe.
Is Mamma Mia 3 happening?
The Mamma Mia 3 buzz picked up after Amanda Seyfried publicly said she’d love to reunite with Sydney on screen and producer Judy Craymer confirmed the production of a third movie.
For now, nothing is confirmed but if the casting team approached Sydney, she doesn’t seem hard to convince.
