Selena Gomez recently opened up her beauty regimen after a fan asked about her self-care habits.

On Tuesday, December 16, the 33-year-old singer took to her Instagram Stories, where she appeared makeup-free while responding to a question about her mustache, which left her laughing.

"Someone made me laugh because they asked me, 'How do you shave your mustache?'" Gomez said.

"It's actually not! It's my melasma. I take care of it and I treat it, but yeah no, it's there," she admitted.

"I totally get it," the Emmy nominee added, encouraging her followers to use sunscreen due to sun exposure.

According to Cleveland Clinic, "Melasma is a skin condition characterized by brown or blue-gray patches or freckle-like spots. Melasma happens because of overproduction of the cells that make the color of your skin."

Over the years, the Only Murders in the Building actress has embraced her natural beauty and openly shared her struggles with acne.

"I notice when I get stressed or something I break out more or I get lazy with my routine so I feel like it's just become a part of it. And I just deal with whatever I got that day," Gomez said during her 2024 Vogue's Beauty Secrets episode.
