Bahrain rapper Flipperachi drops hint about 'Dhurandhar 2'
The musician behind Fa9la hints at his next step collaboration in the 'Dhurandhar' universe
When Akshaye Khanna walked on screen in Dhurandhar to the sound of Fa9la, it didn’t feel like a routine villain entry. The music lingered, and then it escaped the cinema halls.
Within days, the track was everywhere, Instagram reels, reaction videos, people dancing in living rooms and parking lots.
For Bahrain-based singer-producer Flipperachi, real name Hussam Aseem, the moment landed almost by surprise.
In a recent interview with India Today, he said, “To be honest, it's crazy. My DMs are blowing up every single day. I cannot keep up with the people that are just tagging me for the song and enjoying and vibing with it. So it's been a crazy, crazy time.”
The song’s rise has also quietly expanded Flipperachi’s footprint in Indian cinema.
Asked about returning for Dhurandhar 2, expected next year, he paused before giving away just enough. He equivocated, saying, “I was going to keep it a surprise, but I guess there's something. I wouldn't want to tell you everything about it, but yeah, there might be something, yes."
He admits he didn’t immediately understand how big Fa9la had become in India. “I remember when they first told me, your song is booming in India, I was like, what?”
The scale only hit him once the track became inseparable from Khanna’s dark screen presence.
Director Aditya Dhar’s team picked the song for its mood. “The strings in it, the dark strings,” Flipperachi said, recalling how the decision was made instantly.
Now, as Dhurandhar crosses Rs 1200 crore globally, Fa9la continues to travel, proof that a background track can steal the spotlight.
