The Raja Saab was released in theatres on January 9,2025. The film starred South Indian actor Prabhas in the lead role and was directed by Maruthi Dasari. It marked Prabhas’ return to the romantic horror fantasy genre after recent big-budget action films.

The film was produced by T G Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibotla, and Ishan Saksena under the banner of People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment.The music was composed by Thaman S. The film had a runtime of a little over three hours.

Apart from Prabhas, the cast included Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Zarina Wahab, P Samuthirakani, VTV Ganesh, Satya, Prabhas Sreenu, and Saptagiri.

The story followed Raja Saab, who lived with his grandmother Gangamma.The plot moved around family ties, memory loss, and past relationships, set against a fantasy and horror backdrop. 

The narrative shifted between village and city settings and introduced supernatural elements as the story progressed.

Prabhas was seen in a lighter role compared to his recent films. Sanjay Dutt played a key character connected to the family’s past.

 Zarina Wahab portrayed a grandmother suffering from memory- related illness. The three female leads appeared in different phases of the story.

The film featured extensive visual effects and was shot largely on indoor sets. Several comedy scenes were carried by a group of supporting actors known for their comic timing.

The Raja Saab opened in multiple languages and was released across India. The film’s performance at the box office was expected to depend on audiences response over the opening weekend.
