Daniel Stern, best known for portraying Marv Murchins in the Home Alone franchise, has reportedly been cited in connection with an alleged prostitution-related incident.

According to TMZ, the 68-year-old actor was involved in an incident last month after allegedly attempting to hire an escort.

Law enforcement sources told the publication that Stern was cited for soliciting prostitution on December 10, ahead of the festive season, at a hotel in Camarillo, California.

However, he was not taken into custody and was issued a citation rather than being booked or arrested.

For those unversed, a citation does not carry the same legal weight as an arrest, and it remains unclear whether prosecutors will pursue formal charges.

Authorities have not announced whether the case will move forward or be dismissed, and no court date has been scheduled.

The report comes shortly after the Rookie of the Year actor was hospitalised in October 2025 due to an undisclosed medical emergency.

In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Stern also revealed that he has taken a step back from the entertainment industry. 

He shared that he now lives on a farm, grows tangerines, works as a cattle rancher, and pursues sculpting.
