Awarapan 2 producer Mukesh Bhatt recently set the record straight regarding the delay in the release of Emraan Hashmi’s much-awaited film.

The 73-year-old filmmaker, known for producing several hit Bollywood projects, clarified that he’s not concerned about the success of Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic.

In an exclusive conversation with PTI, Bhatt said, “The release date of Awarapan 2 has been shifted to either May or June because, while shooting for film, Emraan Hashmi met with an accident and had to undergo surgery. As a result, he isn’t allowed to do action for 45 days. So, all the action sequences will be performed later. I’m not scared of Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic.”

For the unversed, Hashmi recently dropped the teaser of the much-anticipated sequel, featuring his character from the 2007 film, with the song Tera Mera Rishta playing in the background.

He had earlier revealed that the film was initially set to hit theatres on Friday, April 3, 2026.

However, as per the latest development, Awarapan 2 is now slated for release in May or June 2026.

Meanwhile, the Jannat actor was last seen in Haq, alongside Yami Gautam, which was released on Friday, November 7, 2025.
