Ann-Margret recently opened up about her positive experience with legendary actress Bette Davis.

The American actress recalled moment on the set of 1961 movie Pocketful of Miracles where the late actress took care of her.

“I was about to have a close-up, and of course, Pocketful of Miracles, was my first movie, and I didn’t know close-shot, medium-shot,” said the now 84-year-old actress.

The Grumpy Old Men actress mentioned that Bette “was there and she, at one point, stopped all the filming and said, ‘Ann-Margret, this is your close-up, I want you to look as good as you possibly can. Makeup! Hair!’”

“The makeup person and hair person came and when they finished, she looked and said, 'Okay, now we can go on.' Oh, she was lookin’ out for me,” remembered Ann-Margret while speaking with Interview Magazine.

The actress revealed that she played Bette’s daughter in her first movie, adding, “I really felt like it.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Ann-Margret also talked about her experience with director Ken Russell.

Ann-Margret pointed out that in her presence, Ken “didn’t scream at all and he just was very… calm”.

Meanwhile, the actress also looked back at her career trajectory, spanning seven decades.

“I just kept going no matter what people said,” she stated.
