Former Bond girl Jane Seymour has opened up about her struggle to find work after playing the role of famous Bond girl.
Jane played the role of James Bond’s Solitaire in 1973’s Live and Let Die alongside Sir Roger Moore.
The 74-year-old believes that playing the famous character killed her career prospects.
She told Telegraph “The English could not get past the fact I had been a Bond girl.”
As per the actress, she would run rounds of auditions and almost land the role then someone would inform the casting authorities that she once played the Bond girl which would be end of her chances.
Speaking on her projects in America, she said “I played people from New York, Ohio, the South, you name it. They didn’t realise I was English, or if they did, they forgot.”
After the franchise was sold to Amazon MGM studios, Jane expressed her desire to work on the upcoming 007 movie.
The next Bond movie is highly anticipated as it would be made under a new studio with a new actor playing the role of the famous British spy.
