Gwyneth Paltrow has opened up about a frightening health scare she experienced in 2002.
The Hook actress was only 30 when she lost her father Bruce Paltrow which left her deeply disturbed.
The grief was so severe that at one point she believed she was having a heart attack during one of the darkest moments of her life.
While speaking on The Hollywood Reporter’s podcast Awards Chatter, she recalled the day.
The actress recalled waking up in a London hotel convinced she was suffering a heart attack as she struggled to cope with the loss of her father.
The 53-year-old said her grief pushed her body to the brink, leaving her feeling like she was “going to die of grief.”
She revealed that working on the 2003 film Sylvia, in which she played the role of poet Sylvia Plath, helped her process the pain.
“It was such a blessing having to get up every day and have somewhere to go”, she said about returning to work.
The Se7en star has publicly spoken about her famous parents a lot and has not shied away from the labels of nepo-baby.
