Jennifer Lawrence has always gotten edged out by Emma Stone whenever they compete for the same movie role.

On Wednesday, January 7, during a Q&A with entertainment journalist Josh Horowitz at the 92NY Kaufmann Concert Hall in N.Y.C., the actress revealed the role she wanted, and Stone got, was Easy A.

“I was nuts for Easy A, and I really should have gotten it, right? The movie could have turned out great,” she quipped, and added it was a box office and critical hit.

The Oscar-winning actress further reflected on being snubbed at the Screen Actors Guild Awards for her performance in Die My Love, while Stone has been nominated for her role in the film Bugonia.

“We were over in [our friend] group chat, and she got nominated for SAG today, and I did not,” Lawrence said.

The Hunger Games star said that when all friends congratulated Emma, she wrote, “What?” in the group chat and shared a sad face along with the congrats.

“And then every time she's tried to talk today, I've just been like, ‘Why are you talking and not sorry? If you can talk, why are you not so sorry?’” Lawrence joked.

Lawrence courteously added, “No, she's been beating me for decades, and it's an honor.”
