ITV has confirmed that Love Island All Stars will not air on Monday, January 12 as announced earlier.

Filming of the new series has been delayed due to wildfires near the South African villa.

The popular reality show hosted by Maya Jama was set to kick off with returning faces like Tommy Bradley and Millie Court.

Cameras were ready to roll for the Islanders’ grand entrance. But the raging fires forced an evacuation of the production site.

“Further to a production evacuation owing to ongoing wildfires in the area, our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed,” ITV said.

“Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first. Transmission will be delayed until a date to be confirmed,” the show creators continued.

Crew and cast were advised to stay in their hotels while the situation is monitored.

An insider told The Mirror, “Crew are understandably worried, but the welfare team are making sure support is available.”

South Africa’s Western and Eastern Cape have been hit hard with strong winds fuelling the flames.

Firefighters continue to battle the blazes which are described as “out of control.”

ITV had just unveiled its All Stars cast and the new series was set to run six weeks instead of the usual five.

Production now faces the challenge of rescheduling while keeping the villa secret from the cast before filming resumes.

The network has yet to announce a new premiere date. Fans will have to wait to see which familiar faces return to the villa.
