Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly turned his $60 million Gulfstream G550 into a money-making machine while serving a prison sentence.

According to The U.S. Sun the 14-seat jet was rented out by Silver Air following Combs’ September 2024 arrest in Manhattan on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

Between that time and May 2025 the aircraft flew at least 126 trips averaging every other day bringing in an estimated $4.1 million.

Passengers reportedly had no idea who the true owner was with brokers listing the plane without disclosing Combs’ involvement.

In October Combs was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted on two counts of transporting people for prostitution per NBC News.

Before the rentals his legal troubles had cut off many of his income streams making the jet a lucrative asset.

Private aviation experts explained that Gulfstream G550 jets offer luxury, comfort, and long-range travel which made the aircraft highly sought after.

Jettly, a broker site, noted the smooth rental process, “The plane was listed, and the passengers didn’t even know who the real owner was.”

While financially successful the flights carried a high environmental cost.

The jet reportedly burned 136,665 gallons of fuel over 126 trips releasing roughly 1,885 tons of carbon pollution.

Analysts note that private jets produce up to 14 times more emissions per passenger than commercial flights.

Combs’ jet registered to LoveAir LLC proved a high-demand luxury commodity though scrutiny may rise as the practice of renting privately owned aircraft anonymously comes under closer watch.
