American filmmaker Brian Henson recalled music icon David Bowie’s joyful time on Labyrinth Set.

Forty years later, the director has reflected on his time working with the Heroes singer, who passed away in 2016.

Brian revealed that the cult fantasy film offered the legendary musician a rare chance to slow down and enjoy the creative process.

“For him, it was like, 'Wow, this is so great. All I have to do is show up”, he told People.

The movie came out in 1986 starring David as goblin, Jareth alongside Jennifer Connelly and Toby Froud.

At the time of its filming, Brian was just 22 years old and acting opposite the glam rock icon in many of the movie’s most memorable scenes.

“[David] had the same thing that my dad had…just sort of cracking up in the middle of a shot”, Brian recalled.

“And then you have to start over, which can be a pain in the neck, but for the most part, it was super fun for David”, he added.

Brian’s father, Jim Henson, was the director of the movie, who is also known for creating the famous Muppets.
