Emily Blunt has recently made honest admission after the success of her latest movie, The Smashing Machine.

The English actress reveals that she grew up with severe stutter which is why she was considered a “shy kid” due to her speech impediment.

Emily explains that because of her “bad stutter” she never thought to become an actress while growing up.

While speaking to The Mirror, the Devil Wears Prada actress recalls, “I was quite a shy kid. I had a really bad stutter so I didn't speak that readily.”

Therefore, Emily notes that to end up in an acting job where she would have to speak “was sort of completely out of reach for me”.

Her confession may come as a shock to her fans because of her successful career in Hollywood.

The comments come after Emily called AI-generated actress Tilly Norwood “terrifying” and urged talent agencies not to sign her.

After the actress was shown a report on Tilly, Emily earlier told Variety, “Does it disappoint me? I don't know how to quite answer it, other than to say how terrifying this is.”

She pointed out, “That's an AI? Good Lord, we're screwed. That is really, really scary.”

“Come on, agencies, don't do that. Please stop. Please stop taking away our human connection,” stated the 42-year-old.

Meanwhile, Emily was informed about Tilly and said that she was designed as the next Scarlett Johansson.

To which the actress responded, “But we have Scarlett!”
