Ariana Grande is getting ready for her 'Eternal Sunshine Tour'
Ariana Grande, who has been into acting for a while now and has done popular projects like Wicked: For Good and Victorious, dedicated heartfelt words to her co-star.
The Dangerous Woman singer recently got nominated for her supporting role as Glinda for the 2025 release, but her dear friend and the lead actress, Cynthia Erivo, was snubbed by the Actor Awards.
In addition to that, the director of the musical, John M Chu, was also nowhere to be found as a nominee, despite last year’s recognition.
So now, in a candid conversation with Variety, the pop star has shared her thoughts regarding the two.
Ariana stated, “There aren’t enough flowers on this earth for Jon M. Chu, He’s an extraordinary human being and director. This film will be watched for decades to come.”
She continued, “He set out to move people, to challenge them, to make them better allies and better humans and he succeeded.”
The Side by Side hit maker also added, “The impact of his work and Cynthia’s Elphaba is undeniable, Cynthia’s performance is the most truthful, vulnerable and fierce Elphaba we’ve seen, and it will be referenced and adored for generations.’
The actress admitted that even though it was disappointing for them to not get recognized, the way they have served the industry can’t be taken away.
The songwriter concluded that Jon and Cynthia deserve all the flowers this world can grow.
