John Mayer's rescheduled Mumbai show sparks backlash and refund queries online
John Mayer’s much-anticipated India debut has been postponed, just weeks before the show was set to kick off in Mumbai.
On Wednesday, January 14, the organizing company of the show BookMyShow Live officially revealed the details about the delayed event on their offical Instagarm account.
Based on the shared post, the January 22, 2026, concert has been rescheduled to February 11, 2026, following unexpected issues.
They went on to add, there is no need to repurchase tickets, existing tickets bought on BookMyShow can be used for the rescheduled concert.
Meanwhile, the IG post concluded by asking fans to reach out to the customer support team for ticket queries and mentioned they look forward to see them soon.
Just after the update, the official statement was flooded with disappointed responses from netizens.
One fan penned,"Who's gonna refund my flights and tickets both? Where's the refund option."
Another chimed in, "11th Feb is a mid week (Wednesday show) @bookmyshowin @bookmyshow.live , do you guys understand that this is not just about the expenses tickets but like me, people are coming from all corners of the city and have booked Flight + Hotel stays which are not easy to cancel. How dare you not even give us an option of refunds?"
A third internet user added, "t* mannnn , i’ll b slow dancing with a broke wallet now."
