When Akshay Kumar stepped out on Thursday to exercise his democratic right during the ongoing local body elections in Mumbai, he had an unexpected encounter with a fan, but his reaction won praise from fans.

The 58-year-old actor, along with his wife Twinkle Khanna, reached the polling station to cast his vote in the ongoing Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. 

After casting his vote, as the Khiladi actor was returning to his car, he was approached by a young girl with a request for help.

The said girl, holding a paper in her hand, said, "Sir, mere papa bhot bade karje mein hain unko please bahar nikalo."

Upon this heartfelt plea, the Skyforce actor, while in a rush to approach his car, did pause for a moment and asked her to share her phone number with one of his team members, showing his willingness to help.

Following this, the fan was seen bending down to touch the actor’s feet to show her gratitude, to which the actor stopped her from doing so by saying, “beta aisa mat kar (don't do that, child)." 

This touching interaction with a distressed fan quickly went viral on social media and won fans’ hearts.

A fan reacted to his gesture as, “Akshay Kumar ka Bahut bara Dil hai.” Another commented, “Sabd nhi hai akshay sir ke liye. You are great sir.”

A third user commented, “Kindest, his personal image aside, I really admire the things he does for all the army men and their families and the stunt men in the industry. Always uses his money for good.”

Akshay will be next seen in Priyadarsha's Haiwaan, also starring Saif Ali Khan. The makers have been eyeing the theatrical release in 2026.
