Miley Cyrus' mother Tish Cyrus has opened up about her ‘year from hell’
Tish Cyrus has opened up about her struggle with mental health after her dicorve from Billy Ray Cyrus and mother’s death in the same year.
The producer, who is famously known as the mother of pop star Miley Cyrus, lost her mother Loretta Finley in 2020.
Unfortunately, her fall out from former husband and baby daddy Billy happened in the same year.
The 58-year-old said she experienced “a little bit of anxiety” but it gor worse after Loretta passed away at the age of 85.
While speaking on The Squeeze podcast, she said “I think that I probably during the time I lost my mom and my marriage fell apart, that was like self-medicating in some ways, and I didn’t even realise that I was doing it for that reason.”
Tish, whose birth name is Leticia Jean Finley, said the medicine numbed the pain as she was “not functioning” at that point.
She said the year was tough for her as two very tragic things happened around the same time.
The couple finally finally filed for divorce in 2022 and their divorce was finalised in 2023.
