‘Border 2’ trailer review: Sunny Deol brings nostalgia, younger stars handle the action
The trailer for Border 2 was revealed yesterday (January 15) featuring the return of Sunny Deol to combat the Pakistan Army in the much awaited sequel.
The narrative of the trailer similar to the teaser revolves around the aging actor while the action is played out through the younger stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty.
And just like every promotional material released for the movie up till now it leans very much on nostalgia, boasting patriotism and quite overt references to the original Border. Nevertheless, it might just end up being a success somehow.
Border 2 trailer
The teaser begins with a crazy angle of the character being played by Sunny who is fearless as he looks right into the barrel of a Pakistani tank. Later, he holds a speech to his men accentuating his voice with each syllable in the characteristic style of the Sunny of the 90s.
The young heroes are then presented to us one from each part of the military. Varun Dhawan plays the ground soldier, Diljit the air force pilot and Ahan the officer of the navy.
The three of them together have to stop the Pakistani military on three fronts on land, in the air and in the water if India would be able to win the 1971 War.
