Indian actress Sameera Reddy took part in the ongoing 2026 is the new 2016 trend with a unique twist. She looked back 20 years and reunited with her co-star from the 2006 film Musafir, Sanjay Dutt.
The Vedi actress shared a video on her official Instagram handle. In the clip Sameera said, “Why 2016 trend, when you can go back to 2016,” while showing a throwback picture with Sanjay.
The video then showed Sanjay reading a newspaper. He noticed Sameera and greeted her with a warm hug.
Posting the clip online, Sameera wrote, “#duttsanjay 20 yrs & the vibe is still the same 2006 2026 #musafir #sanjaydutt.” She added the Saaki track by Sukhwinder Singh and Sunidhi Chauhan from Musafir as background music.
Directed and produced by Sanjay Gupta, Musafir also starred Anil Kapoor, Aditya Pancholi, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Shakti Kapoor. Koena Mitra made her acting debut in the film. Sameera played Sam, while Sanjay portrayed Billa.
Musafir was set in Goa and followed Lucky( Anil Kapoor), a small-time criminal betrayed by his girlfriend racing against time to survive.
Sameera is now preparing for her upcoming horror-thriller, Chimni, in which she will play the role of Kali.
