Arun Vijay’s Retta Thala, released in theatres on December 25, 2025, is now live for streaming.
The action packed film follows Kaali, a man from Pondicherry chasing money and respect. With his girlfriend Antre pushing him to aim higher, Kaali constantly takes risks to chase a better life.
Kaali’s life takes a turn when he meets his lookalike, Malpe Upendra, a rich and powerful man. Seeing an opportunity to escape poverty, Kaali and Antre plan to switch places, setting the stage for twists, action, and emotional drama.
The film displays what Kaali would have to give up to satisfy his greed, combining action and ethical questions.
It is pertinent to note, Arun portrays dual roles in the Tamil action thriller, supported by Siddhi Idnani, Tanya Ravichandran, Yogi Babu, John Vijay, Hareesh Peradi, and Balaji Murugadoss.
Before Retta Thala, Arun was seen as the main antagonist in Dhanush’s Idli Kadai, a family drama about a man returning to run his family eatery.
Notably, the film will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Shortflix from January 21, 2026, a week earlier than planned.
